Troubleshooting
Fixes for the most common connection and sync problems.
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |

| Connection test fails immediately | Site address wrong or site not reachable over HTTPS | Check the address in WordPress → Settings → General |
| Signature rejected | Shared Secret mismatch | Generate a new connection in WordPress and update credentials |
| 404 on the connector endpoint | Pretty permalinks disabled | Settings → Permalinks → Save changes |
| Version mismatch warning | Plugin older than the published release | Install the latest ZIP from Downloads |
| Content not importing | Plugin deactivated or capability missing | Reactivate the plugin and re-run the test |
| Changes appear late in AI Explorer Media | Live change notifications are switched off | AI Explorer Media → Settings → Event Dispatcher → tick notifications and save |
| Notifications never arrive | Address is not the AI Explorer Media production webhook, or is not HTTPS | Reset the address to the production webhook shown on the Connect page |
Never share your Shared Secret
AI Explorer Media support will never ask for it. If it may have leaked, generate a new connection immediately.
